Our women once again claimed second place in the main race (10km), this time courtesy of promising newcomer Memuna Mataria. Grazina and Fiona also finished in the top 10. The women then went on to take an emphatic victory in the 4-leg relay. There were several key runners missing from the men’s squad. Was it the late scheduling of the England v Italy World Cup match or was it Father’s Day commitments that kept them away? Maybe a combination of the two. But at least we fielded a full team both for the 10km and the relay. A fuller report will be posted once times and positions are confirmed.
