ESMs younger runners running the 1st road relay of the autumn. Two events at the same time, one the Middx road relays, with teams from ESM, TVH, Harrow, Highgate, London Heathside, Shaftesbury and the Herts road relays, with teams from Shaftesbury & Barnet, Barnet & District, Watford, Harrow and Herts Phoenix.
In the external results, the 2 events are recorded separately, but in ThePowerOf10 the results are combined, with each team member recorded in a group according to the leg they run.
The under 11s competed individually, doing one lap of 1500m. The other age groups all did 2 laps of 1500m each in teams of 3.
Under 11 Girls: Feia Starkey came 2nd in her race and 2nd overall, 2 seconds behind Charlotte Buckley (TVH) who was 1st overall. Lucy O’Brien came 4th (5th overall).
Under 11 Boys: Our only entrant was Kirk Lebdiri who came 12th.
Under 13 girls: The ESM team (Roisin Lynch, Connie Lynch and Shiva Bisu) came 4th.
Under 13 boys: The ESM team (John Fielding, Marcus Brown & George Kerry) came 2nd, about 7 seconds behind the Harrow A team. Harrow had 3 teams, TVH had 3 and Highgate 2, so well done to the ESM team.
Under 15 girls: The ESM team (Courtney Marshall, Anna Maude, Erica Wallace) came 1st in 37:46 with Highgate a close 2nd. Again, despite Harrow and London Heathside having 2 teams.
Under 15 boys: The ESM team (Mukhtar Farah, Karolis Narvilas, Bradley Pinder) came 3rd with Mukhtar recording the fastest lap (10:02) for the u15 boys.
Under 17 girls: Only Harrow entered a full team, we had no runners in this.
Under 17 boys: Our ESM team (Malk Ouzia, Duncan Pinder, Sam Shindler-Glass) came 2nd in 30:37. Sam McGonigle also competed individually and finished in a respectable 11:01.
