This is one of the jewels in the fixture list, a race in the warm Autumn taking in Windsor Great Park and the Thames. The River Relays is 26.2 mile race, which starts in Virginia Water and finishes as the Hawker centre in Kingston upon Thames, see details here.
This year we had 3 teams taking part, with the same team names as last year.
That Ealing Feeling (Peter Drew, Alison Hopkins, Angelo John, Ciaran Eaton, Stephen Elson) finished 4th in 02:50:23 while The Ealing Runner Beans (Janice Newman, Phil York, Mark Delahunty, Ian Capon, Mary Walsh) finished in 28th 03:36:10 and Jellied Ealings (Fiona Kennedy, Lynn Wilson, Gabby Cory, John Falvey, James O’Neil) finished 35th in 03:50:33.
There were some good lap performances, with Peter Drew and Fiona Kennedy coming 7th & 8th on stage 1, Alison Hopkins 3rd on stage 2, Angelo John 4th on stage 3 and Stephen Elson 1st on stage 5.
