With sleet falling for much of this rearranged interclub race, hosted by the Bank of England AC, the runners were given a little taste of the severe weather causing havoc elsewhere in the country.
Rob Brown was first home for ESM in 7th place, one position ahead of Mark Delahunty. Ian Leslie continued his build-up to the VLM with 25th place. Carol Jones finished first woman in the race with 29th place and Alan Keeler was 34th.
Ealing finished third club in the three-to-score competition won by Milocarians. In the contest for the Hec Petersen Trophy, our five runners beat Ranelagh’s first five home by 25 points to 31 to take the cup for the first time since 2009.
