Six of our young athletes took part in the Ealing Mini Mile on Sunday, held in conjunction with the Ealing Half Marathon. We took the first three places in the girls’ race; Laura Stewart won in 5.59, Feia Starkey was runner-up in 6:13 and Martha Hayward was third in 6:28. Luke Adar finished fourth in the boys’ race in 5:40, being outsprinted for third by just one second.
Milo Choudhry won the Under 12 Boys category in 6:08, while Maxi Steele finished sixth in 6:39. In the equivalent girls’ category, younger sister Mirabelle completed the distance in 10:49.
… and I’ve just spotted that Sarah and Clive Richardson’s six-year-old son Owen completed the mile in just outside 8 minutes. Clearly taking after mum and dad!
