A fair number of ESM athletes turned up at the Hillingdon track for the 3rd fixture in the SCVAC League.
From the provisional results …
In the women’s 100m races, Patricia Thomas came second in the W35 ‘A’ (15.7) with Alison Hopkins second in the ‘B’ race (16.6). Jane Harris came fourth in the W50 race (16.8) and Dorothy Johnston came third in the W60 (20.1). Bharati Patel also ran as a non scorer in 22.4.
Grazina Narviliene won the 2000m walk (10:08.6) over 2 minutes ahead of the second placed (W50) woman and beating the men also (figuratively of course). Bharati Patel came fourth in the W50 race (16:20.6) and Dorothy was second in the W60 race (13:32.2) only 0.4 seconds behind the first-placed Serpentine walker.
In the Women’s 400m race, Nikki Baker finished fourth in the W35 ‘A’ (83.4) with Jane Harris 3rd in the ‘B’ (80.4). Carol Jones came fourth in the W50 (84.8) and Dorothy was third in the W60 (1:46.0).
In the Women’s 1500m race, Alison won the W35 ‘A’ race (5:14.7) with Patricia second in the ‘B’ (5:50.5). Carol came second in the W50 (6:04.4) missing first place by 0.7s. Janice Newman was first in the W60 (7:33.6).
In the 4x400m women’s relay, Ealing finished second (5:01.4) only 0.2s behind Serpentine.
In the women’s Discus, Grazina came third in the W35 (18.11m) and Dorothy came 2nd in the W60 (8.71m).
In the women’s High Jump, Pat came joint second in the W35 (1.10m), with Jane Harris coming third in the W50 (1.0m)
In the women’s Javelin, Alison came fifth in the W35 (9.85m), with Carol fourth in the W50 (6.23m) and Dorothy fourth in the W60 (5.0m).
In the women’s Triple Jump, Grazina came third in the W35 (6.96m), with Jane Harris first in the W50 (6.07m).
In the men’s 100m race, John McKim came fourth in the M35 ‘B’ race (15.1), with no other ESM runners.
There were no ESM men in the 2000m walk.
In the men’s 400m race, Angelo John came fourth in the M35 ‘A’ race (61.2), with no other ESM men scoring.
Angelo also came second in the 1500m M35 ‘A’ (4:40.4) with Mark Delahunty 2nd in the ‘B’ race (4:41.0). James O’Neill came third in the M50 race (5:13.2). Phil York, Graham French and John McKim ran as non scorers, Phil ran in 4:51.4, with Graham 5:30.7 and John McKim in 5:44.9.

Ealing didn’t have a team for the 4x400m relays.
In the men’s High jump, Angelo came third in the M35 (1.40), and we didn’t have anyone in Javelin, Triple Jump or Discus.
