Another good turnout and result for ESM at Regents Park. In the main 10K race, we had 19 runners and the winner was Damien Dzieninski (QPH) in 34:48.
Our lead runner Angelo John – pictured above – came in 12th, exactly 3 minutes behind the leader in 37:48. Fairly close on his heels were Mark Delahunty in 16th 38:20 and Tom Yates 17th 38:24,
then Luis Monteiro in 33rd 40:47, Peter Drew in 34th 41:02, Ciaran Eaton in 37th 41:12, Fiona Kennedy in 39th 41:27. James O’Neil came in 53rd 42:41, Patricia Thomas in 60th 44:06, Chris Brown in 64th 44:36, with Lynn Wilson in 73rd 46.06, Andy Leung in 84th 47.00 just edging youngster Gary Stringer into 85th 47:02. Martin Wilson was in 120th 51:16, with Laurence Messer in 150th 56:45, Janice Newman & Mary Walsh in 154th & 155th in 57:11 & 57:12, then Dorothy Johnson in 174th 1:00:45 and Ian Capon in 185th 1:06:08.
In the tenderfoot 1500m race (for boys and girls), Cameron Thomas came fifth in 6:42.
