Congratulations to Pete Flewitt, who won this year’s BBC 10K in Regent’s Park in a time of 36:40. (Not his fastest time, he concedes, but he had just completed the RideLondon 100 mile route two days earlier in just outside 5 hours!) Full results of the 10K race here.
Pete and former ESM athlete Dan Grant are currently training for their “1 Day 105 Mile Scottish Highland Coast to Coast Challenge“. This organised event involves running, riding and kayaking across Scotland, and can either be undertaken over the whole weekend or in just one day. Pete and Dan are planning to complete it in a single day. (Well, what else would you expect).
The idea is to raise funds for improvements to the garden area at Meadow House Hospice in Ealing, and they would welcome donations – however small – for this worthwhile local cause.
