W45 Claudia Manera was our star performer at the Osterley Park 10k on Saturday, finishing third in the women’s field with a competitive time of 43:35 over this multi-terrain course.
This was the third fixture in our new road race championship series, and ESM sent twenty runners, a combination of club members, graduates of our recent Couch-to-5k course, and members of our ongoing intermediates course: “Faster! Fitter! Stronger! Slimmer!”
M55 Ian Leslie rarely races over this distance, but was nearly two minutes quicker than at the Gunnersbury 10k in May, and many others had good cause to celebrate in the post-race picnic – not least those completing their first 10k race. There were at least two PBs – Leanne and Annette. Well done all.
