Congratulations to both Josie Booker and Katharine Boissiere, recent winners of the Jack Petchey Award.
Josie won the February award for improving her focus in training and competition. This was evident at Lee Valley last weekend, when she secured four PBs in the pentathlon, including a PB by 9 seconds in the last event, the 800m.
Katharine won the March award for working hard on her endurance throughout the winter. She has improved on her pace judgement for 800m and she too secured four PBs in the pentathlon at Lee Valley, including a PB by 12 cm in the high jump.
Josie’s award goes towards new shots and ammunition. A decision has yet to be made regarding Katharine’s award.
