Mo Ali back to winning ways at SEAA Inter County Champs – Oxford – Sat 07 Dec 2019

In only his second race back after a prolonged injury lay-off, Mo Ali won the Under 17 men’s race from Aaron Samuel with a comfortable lead of 10 to 15 metres.

According to coach Steve Mann, the aim was to try and defend his title from last year. “We knew he was in shape as the tester was the Perivale 5 but this was his first test on the mud. He used his experience to make his move with about 1k to go. He was then able to control things from there”.

Seweryn Czapka helped the Middlesex team to fourth place in the same race, finishing 42nd.

Ed Flewitt enjoyed his first outing in a county vest, finishing 76th in the U13 boys’ race.

W55 Patricia Thomas took part in the SEAA Masters Championships at the same venue, and was pleased both to improve her previous time and to finish higher in the field. She was 44th overall and seventh in her age category.
