It was a blustery September day when the ESM seniors arrived to take on the Middlesex Road Relays, writes Shona Cowper. The theme of the event appeared to be ‘How close to the start time can I arrive?’ as the team began to ask “Where’s Jav?” and “Where’s Santosh?” and […]
Last Sunday saw the first fixture of the Winter season, writes Tim Hannah, with the Middlesex Young Athletes’ Road Relays held once again at Minet Park, Hayes. A proper chilly and windy autumn day in this desolate part of West London saw our Ealing athletes come away with medals from […]
A group of club members took full advantage of good conditions at the Watford Open Graded Meeting on Wednesday evening. Six of the eight achieved PBs and Phil York clocked a season’s best over 800m. We don’t know the previous form of new member Sebastian Hanson, but he clocked a […]
Headline news this year is that nothing went wrong! Yes, all our runners turned up at the right place at the right time… and, just as importantly, ended up in the right place in about the right time too. Highlights included our A team’s fourth place, meaning £100 of the race […]

With good coverage of almost all events, we finished a respectable second in our last SAL match of the season. It was a dry day with intermittent sun, but the breeze made it chilly on occasion, and PBs were few and far between. However, we competed well and won eighteen […]
Jon Ellis finished fourth in the gruelling Swissalpine Marathon 78K race on Saturday, in a time of 6:47:50. Jon has already tasted success in ultra races here in the UK, winning both the South Downs Way 50 and the North Downs Way 50 earlier this year, but it was his […]
