About Us

History

Ealing Harriers was established in 1920 and Southall AC was formed a decade later in 1931; these two clubs amalgamated in 1966 to become Ealing & Southall AC. Middlesex Ladies Club was established in 1923 and amalgamated with Ealing & Southall AC on January 1st 1994. Over the years, ESMAC has enjoyed great success across all athletics disciplines. Many Olympics, International, National and County honours have been gained by members in Track & Field, Road Racing and Cross Country.

Structure

ESMAC is based at Perivale Park Athletics Track, which is run by Everyone Active. ESMAC works in close partnership with Everyone Active staff to meet the needs of all the athletes who train there. We also maintain links with Ealing Council Sports Team.

Reasons to join

ESMAC members enjoy many benefits. It is a friendly club where new friendships are frequently forged. Members derive enjoyment, satisfaction and increased fitness from their training. It provides an opportunity for everyone to find a discipline to suit their aptitudes, and encourages them to meet their full potential through coaching and competition. For those with talent and dedication, ESMAC is a channel to success at the highest level.

Training sessions

The club welcomes athletes of all ages from 11 years upwards, and organises a range of training sessions to meet different needs. All sessions start at Perivale Park Athletics Track.

Facilities at Perivale Park Athletics Track

In addition to the eight-lane track with its covered spectator stand, there is a fully equipped pavilion which was opened in January 2007 after years of planning, dedication and hard work by Jamie Bath. Drinks and basic snacks are available here on training nights. At home meetings, (see fixtures list for details), a wider range of refreshments are sold. The centre also boasts a general gym, a specialised indoor throws gym, an outdoor fitness circuit and a netball pitch.
