We had a good turnout for the 3rd fixture of the McCains Young Athletes League writes Steve Treanor.
Lorenzo Vilano claimed 3 1st places, with Charlotte Gould and William Lord winning 2 1st places. There were 13 other individual wins.
Also a good showing on the relay front with 4 wins. There were a considerable number of PBs achieved on the day.
Under 13 Girls: Chenise Whiting lead the way with 1st in Shot putt and 2nd in 70m Hurdles as well as 2nd in the ‘B’ High jump.
Roisin Lynch came 2nd in the 800m and the High jump. Lottie Horton came 2nd in the 70m sprint, 3rd in the Long jump and 1st in the ‘B’ 150m race.
Brianna Hall came 4th in the 150m, 2nd in the ‘B’ Long jump and a non scorer in the 150m.
Under 13 Boys: Luke Miller heads the boys with 1st place in the Shot putt and 4th in the 100m.
Maarteo Vao came 2nd in the High jump, 4th in the 75m hurdles and 1st non scorer in the Long jump. John Field came 2nd in the 800m.
Reef Hook came 3rd in the Long jump, 2nd in the ‘B’ 100m and 1st in the ‘B’ Shot. Alexis Kahan came 4th in the 200m.
Patrick Owen came 1st in the ‘B’ 800m, and was a non scorer in the 100m and Long jump.
Ben Shindler-Glass came 2nd in the ‘B’ High jump and Tim Wallace came 2nd in the ‘B’ Long jump.
Under 15 Girls: The girls picked up 4 wins. Besirat Tesfu came 1st in the Long jump, 2nd in the 800m and 1st in the ‘B’ 200m.
Hannah Aybeyegbe came 1st in the High jump and 2nd in the 200m. Chanelle Pierre came 1st in the Shot putt, 1st in the ‘B’ discus and 1st non scorer in the Javelin.
Courtney Marshall came 1st in the 1500m. Martha Hayward came 2nd in the Javelin, 4th in the 100m, 5th in the 75m Hurdles and 1st in the ‘B’ 1500m.
Lauren Murphy came 3rd in the Discus, 1st in the ‘B’ Shot putt and 2nd in the ‘B’ Javelin. Millie Atherton came 1st in the ‘B’ Javelin, 2nd in the ‘B’ 800m.
Emma Starkey came 2nd in the ‘B’ High jump, 3rd in the ‘B’ 100m and 3rd in the ‘B’ 75m Hurdles. Abigail Brown was a non scorer in the 200m.
Under 15 Boys: The boys won 5 1st places. Will Lord came 1st in the 80m Hurdles and Long jump. Luke West came 1st in the Long jump and 2nd in the 100m.
Alex McCluskey came 1st in the 300m and 2nd in the 200m. Aaron Spink came 1st in the 1500m and 1st in the ‘B’ High jump.
Karolis Narvilas came 2nd in the Discus and 4th in the Shot putt. Tom Newton came 2nd in the 800m. Dante Blackwood came 1st in the ‘B’ Long jump and 2nd in the ‘B’ 100m.
Trey Emile came 3rd in the ‘B’ 200m. Mukhtar Farah was 1st non scorer in the 1500m (with a very good time).
Coorie Coley was the 1st non scorer in the Javelin bettering his Middx Schools Champs win.
Under 17 Girls: Charlotte Gould came 1st in Hammer and Javelin and 1st in the ‘B’ Discus. Imogen Jennings came 1st in Discus and 2nd in Shot putt.
Tabita Botuli came 1st in the 100m. Sylvie Rowe came 2nd in the 200m and 300m. Lara Kotecha came 2nd in the Long jump and 3rd in the 800m.
Djeeneigh Kaczorowski came 2nd in the Triple jump, along with 1st in the ‘B’ 300m and 2nd in the ‘B’ Shot putt.
Under 17 Boys: Lorenzo Vilona managed 3 wins, 1st in the 100m, 200m and Long jump. Malik Ouzia came 1st in the 1500m.
Gabriel Loftus came 1st in the ‘B’ 100m and 1st in the non scoring 200m.
Relays
In the Girls Relays, the u15 team came 1st with a SB. The u13 team came 3rd and we didn’t field an u17 team.
In the Boys relays, we fared better, with 1st place to the u15 and u17 teams in the 4x100m race, 1st to the u15 team in the 4x300m race
although we didn’t have an u13 team for the 4x100m.
