Ealing’s younger athletes scored double Gold again at the Quad Kids in Osterley on Wednesday evening. Quad Kids is a monthly multi-event competition among the four West London Athletics Clubs; Ealing, TVH, Hillingdon & Hounslow.
Maateo Vao won Gold coming 1st in the U13 Boys. He threw 43.89 m in the vortex mini javelin throw. Maateo has now come first at all three Quad Kids meetings this summer.
Winning Gold for the girls was Feia Starkey. Her 800m in 2:36 was the fastest from all the girls and only beaten by one boy. This is Feia’s second Gold, she won Silver in the first Quad Kids in April.
The boy faster than Feia was Ealing’s Lucas Sheehan. His 800m finished in 2.33. He was third overall winning Bronze.
Just out of the medal places was Lucy O’Brien who came 6th among the girls overall. Other Ealing Athletes on the night were newcomers Max Jacobs, Alex and Hannah Blaney and Bill Fradgley, along with seasoned athletes, William Coutts, Mia Hanson, Rosie Cox, Emily Nicholson, Sarah Freegard and Kitty King.
