ESM Sprinters Sign Off Season in Style

ESM sprinters have been in fine form in the final weeks of the season. On 23rd August, the Under 18 4 x 100 relay team of Lashaun Thorpe-McLean, Sion Jones, Al-Tayib Adam and Connor Chung-Tak-Man finished a fine 4th in the National Relay Championships at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham. Their time of 42.50 set a new Under 20 club record and equalled the senior club record. On 31st August, several athletes achieved personal bests for the 100m at the Stratford Speed GP. Connor Chung-Tak-Man was a close 2nd in his race in 10.86, Kai English started very fast and led all the way to win in 10.89. Nathaniel Ulasi won his race in 10.96 with Sion Jones close behind with 11.01. Dylan Jones won his race with 12.01. On 5th September a small group went to Milton Keynes for their final race of the season. Sion Jones Finished very strongly in the 100m in a fast though wind assisted time of 10.81and Yuelai Lin Wang ran a personal best of 12.07. In the 200m, Kai English led from the gun to win comfortably in 22.32.
