Four ESM athletes were selected to compete at the prestigious English Schools Championships held at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham at the weekend. Having run close to her best to qualify in her heat, with a time of 25.61, Eldika Edwards was fifth in the Senior Girls 200m. Kamile Bykovaite was tenth in the Senior Girls Triple Jump with 10.70m. Elsewhere in the field, Yasmine Ferguson threw 11.20m to finish 11th in the Inter Girls Shot. Although Reef Hook went out in the heat of the Junior Boys 300m, he had the satisfaction of achieving a PB of 38.28 over the distance.
