The next cross country fixture is the South of England Championships in Stanmer Park, Brighton BN1 9SE. Public transport is by far the best option for those travelling independently. If driving, you will have to apply for parking in advance (see below).
Minibus: leaves Stockdove Way at 8:00am. Return at approx. 5pm. Space is limited, please get in touch with Tim Hannah and book your seat as soon as possible.
Directions:
Take A40 out to M25. M25 to Junction 7, M23 past Gatwick Airport, continue on A23 to Brighton. On entering Brighton take the A27 heading east towards Lewis. Leave the A27 at the Hollingbury exit and follow the signs for Coldean. At the roundabout take the exit for Coldean and after 1.5 miles turn left at the traffic lights onto the A270 (Lewes, Eastbourne), before turning right at the traffic lights via the filter lane just before the A27 junction.
Parking – to be booked in advance:
Parking will be available in the Brighton & Hove Albion car park over the road from the course. No parking tickets will be available on the day; you need to apply for parking in advance through this website: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/seaa-xc-champs-parking-tickets-42228783428
Public Transport:
There is a very good train service right to the course. Take the train from London Victoria to either Brighton or Lewis. Change & take a train to Falmer station (one approx. every 15 minutes from either station). Falmer station is right by the course. Book in advance on the internet for cheap fares (from approx £28.00 per person return, £15 U16s).
