Three of our athletes represented Middlesex at the CAU Inter-Counties Championships this weekend.
Grazina Narviliene clocked a PB of 14:11.73 in the 3000m walk, to claim a bronze medal (pictured). She upped the pace about 600m out and, according to Team Manager John Falvey, produced a devastating finish over the final 200m.
Emma Gayler jumped 5.32m in the long jump. Having jarred her back in the first jump, she did well to continue, and finished ninth, just one place short of the cut.
Jamie Taylor-Caldwell ran 1:56.02 in the 800m heats. He was well-positioned coming into the home straight but was outpaced in the closing stages of the race and did not progress to the final.
