Two of the club’s athletes were invited to take part in the national championships this year on a rain-swept weekend in Birmingham.
In the women’s 5000 metres walk Grazina Narviliene was fifth for the second year in a row, though her time of 25:17.00 was 13 seconds faster than last year.
Meanwhile Ben Waterman took part in the men’s 800 metres, bowing out in a heat won by Olympic finalist Andrew Osagie.
