Juniors shine at Middlesex Cross Country Championships

Report by Debra Booker
Glorious sunshine and a strong turnout saw ESM juniors secure one individual medal and three team medals at Hillingdon on Saturday, 13 December 2025.
Huge congratulations to U15 girl Violet Muralidhar who took home silver, not far behind the winner, no mean feat after a long break following illness. With Emilie Walsh finishing in 6th and Maria Szyszko-Walls in 7th, ESM showed dominance which secured team gold. U13 and U15 boys also secured bronze team medals.

U13s were led home by Ben Muralidhar 7th, Sidney Rochester 10th & Arlo Thompson 19th, whereas Leon Bolting led the U15 charge finishing 7th, Marcus Muers 10th and Owen Stubbins 12th.
Strength in depth saw our medal winners backed up by more great performances from our other athletes.
U15 girls: Isabella Matsunaga 12th, Cleo Kumar 32nd, Edie Kumar 40th, Noa Archer 46th.
U15 boys: Clem Poulson 29th, Harry Martin 32nd.
U13 boys: Euan Mortimer 25th, Max Lacey 30th, Oscar Hepner 39th, Edan Grovners 42nd.

And to our amazing other teams.
U11 boys: A fabulous 4th place for the team, missing out on a bronze medal by just 1 point! Well done to Daniel Ross 9th, Maieul Girard-Reydet 11th, Zayd Sheikh 17th, Christopher De Campo-Otu 19th and Archie Ozols 29th.
U11 girls: Spirited runs from our 2 entrants Eleanor Morrison 10th & Alison Duarte 30th.
U13 girls: Despite also not having a full team, there were strong performances too from Hanna Morawska 39th and Elodie Noziere 42nd.
U17 men: It was good to be able to field a full team in this race with the team finishing 6th. Strong performances from Noah Levy 13th, Mika Stripp 19th and Solomon B Flemons in 33rd.
Overall a very successful Middlesex Championships for ESM and a great way to end 2025 competitions.
Well done all and Merry Christmas.
