Golden Weekend for Leila Newth in Birmingham

Leila Newth concluded a successful weekend at the England Athletics Championships in Birmingham with two gold medals. She won the U17 women’s triple jump with a distance of 12.33m, following her wind-assisted 5.92m victory in the long jump on Saturday. It was a brilliant couple of days representing ESM, with preparations now shifting to the English Schools Heptathlon in September—after a well-earned break.
