Eight young athletes from Ealing Southall & Middlesex AC took part in the Ealing Mini Mile on Sunday, held in conjunction with the Ealing Half Marathon. The club’s athletes won three of the four categories.
Having finished fourth last year, Luke Adar won the boys’ race in 5:30, around 100m clear of the field. Talvin McClunie finished fourth. The photo on the left shows Luke competing in the cross country the previous day!
Maxi Steel (pictured on the right) won the Under 12 boys’ category by a similarly large margin, finishing in 6:10. Seven year old Owen Richardson was 45th. James McNamara and younger brother Joe were 65th and 76th respectively.
In the girls’ races, Feia Starkey won the over 12 category in 6:18, around half a minute clear of her competitors. Luke’s younger sister Isobel finished seventh in the Under 12 category.
